Announcing the Young Actors Conservatory at the Butler-Mason YMCA


Do you know an aspiring actor who wants to learn the professional skills to nail their next on camera audition? Do you have a hopeful performer preparing for their musical theater college auditions? Do you know someone who is fascinated by film and the craft of acting looking for the right direction to get that professional acting career started?

WHEN: Every Monday for 6 weeks
Classes: Monday, October 14th – Monday, November 18th
Classes will have a final performance showcase on our last Monday, November 18th.

AGES: 12-18

COST: $225.00 for 6 week session

Acting 101: This foundations class will focus on the most successful methods of acting based on the techniques of Stella Adler, Sandy Meisner, Anton Chekhov, Uta Hagan etc. and is a prerequisite for all other Y.A.C. acting classes. Monday afternoons from 4:00pm to 5:30pm.

Acting 102: (for those students that have completed Acting 101) Acting for Shakespeare, two person scenes and an introduction into stage combat techniques. Monday evenings from 5:30pm to 7:00 pm.

The Young Actors Conservatory programs are intensive audition and acting technique classes taught by 15 year SAG-Aftra professional Actor & Stuntman Ryan Carr. Check out Ryan at
