Daniel Jordan
A 1993 graduate of Thomasville High School, Daniel Jordan was a two-sport star with the Bulldogs, excelling in baseball and football. On the football field, Jordan was a three-year letterman at wide receiver, defensive back, punter, and punt/kick returner. He was named All-Region and Honorable Mention All-State when he led the state in receiving yards his senior season. His 1992 Bulldog team won the region championship, and made it to the quarterfinals of the state playoffs.
But as impressive as he was on the gridiron, Jordan shone even brighter on the baseball diamond. A four-year letterman, he was named Region 1-AAA Player of the Year in 1992. He was All-Region his sophomore, junior, and senior seasons. Chosen to represent Thomasville in the North-South All-Star Classic game, he went on to receive a scholarship to Middle Georgia College for baseball, where he was the 1994 team MVP, was named All-Conference in ‘94 and ‘95, and would lead Middle Georgia to the 1995 JUCO national championship.
He then went to Kennesaw State where he played shortstop, and would lead the Owls to regional and national championships in 1996. Jordan was inducted into the Kennesaw State Sports Hall of Fame in 2021. He was drafted by the Milwaukee Brewers in the 1993 MLB draft.
