Boys Sports Program Director (Full-Time)

The Program Director will be primarily responsible for administering athletic, recreational, and physical education programs for youth programs.

They will supervise the following Thomasville/Thomas County Recreation and YMCA programs:

  • Golf Camp
  • Wrestling

  • Summer Teen Activities

Butler-Mason Front Desk

(Part-Time)

Responsible for greeting the public and controlling access to the facility. This position requires knowledge of membership information and programs, the selling them. This position also requires the answering of phones and giving tours of the facility.

Shift hours: Monday-Friday from 9-2 pm and every other Saturday 1-6 pm

Butler-Mason Aquatics

Lifeguard (Part-Time)

Those needing certification/recertification are welcome to apply, as we will train them. Duties include but are not limited to guarding, assisting members, cleaning, and pool maintenance. Must have excellent customer service skills.

Swim Instructor (Part-Time)

This position provides direct leadership, instruction, and motivation for students in swimming classes of all ages and abilities. Provides exceptional customer service to promote aquatics programs and the YMCA. Builds effective, authentic relationships with students and parents; helps them connect with each other and the YMCA. Provides exceptional customer service to promote the Aquatics program and YMCA.

Butler-Mason Gymnastics

Preschool/Recreational Instructor (Part-Time)

Fun individuals who carry a positive attitude, are enthusiastic and are energetic. Willing to work in the afternoons (after school hours) and some Saturdays. Individuals will be expected to teach gymnastics skills and progressions for each apparatus, following the standard gymnastics curriculum. Previous experience in gymnastics, cheerleading, and/or dance is preferred.

Competitive Team Coach (Part-Time)

The individual that can bring knowledge, passion, and a positive attitude to our competitive team. Previous coaching experience in competitive gymnastics is required. Willing to work in the afternoons, and some weekends, and willing to travel if needed. Must complete all required USA Gymnastics courses required for Professional Membership.

Butler-Mason Child Care

After-School Teacher (Part-Time)

Provides a quality environment for children that adheres to licensing guidelines, YMCA child care policies and procedures, and implements the program curriculum. Provides a quality experience to children and parents that focus on the YMCA values: honesty, respect, responsibility, and caring.
