Supervision of Youth Members

Members are required to be 12 years of age to attend the facility without parent supervision. An adult must accompany any child 11 and under unless attending a specific program for which the child is properly registered. Parents are responsible for the safety and supervision of their children at all times.

Butler-Mason Location: Unsupervised workouts using cardiovascular equipment or free weights is permitted to teens if they have been through our weight training certification.

Everett-Milton Location: No one under the age of 12 is allowed in the fitness/cardio rooms unless closely supervised by a parent. No one under the age of 14 is allowed in the free weight room unless closely supervised by a parent.

Behavior & Discipline

The YMCA seeks to model and encourage Christian principles, ideals and values in language, behavior, dress, and attitude. Staff reserves the right to determine standards for acceptable behavior on the YMCA premises. Violation of these standards can result in suspension or withdrawal of membership privileges at the discretion of the Executive Director, the Membership Committee, or the Board of Directors. In the event of a dismissal from a program or the YMCA due to disciplinary action, membership dues will not be refunded.

Dress & Attire

Immodest clothing or inappropriate attire should not be worn in the facility. Members are required to wear shoes and shirt while in the building. The ONLY exception to this is while using the pool, whirlpool, or sauna.

Video Recording Devices

The YMCA has cameras placed throughout our facility for security reasons. Video recorders, cameras, or any other visual recording devices are not allowed within the YMCA locker rooms. Most mobile phones now have the capability to take pictures and/or videos as well. Please be aware if someone has a device of this nature pointed in your direction. Please report any incident of this nature immediately to a YMCA staff member.

Anyone caught taking pictures of another person without their permission and knowledge will be prosecuted to the full extent of the law by the YMCA and may lead to the termination of their membership. Please contact us if you have any questions or concerns.

Sex Offender Policy

Since it is contrary to the mission of the YMCA to be a sex offender, the YMCA will deny or revoke a membership to such a person. If such a person is currently a member when we discover he/she is or has ever been classified as a sex offender, we will refund the percentage amount of the membership fee that is still valid. A no tolerance stance will be taken on all sex offenders.
