*Full reimbursement of program class fees after working 50 hours at any Thomasville Y.

All Prerequisites must be met prior to class:

• Must be 15 or older to take the class. Must be 16 to be employed at the Y.
• Must have e-mail for e-Learning courses
• e-Learning Completion Certificates
• Must be able to complete a 300 yard swim, 2 minute tread, and a timed brick test all on the first day of class

Limited to the first ten participants

Certifications Includes Lifeguard, Oxygen Administration, AED,

Adult, Child & Infant CPR, and First Aid Certifications.

Junior Lifeguard Class: TBA

• Participants are given an official Red Cross Junior Lifeguard Certification.
• Gain the experience needed to become lifeguard certified.
• Expand knowledge in aquatics.
• This is a summer volunteer work opportunity at the Butler-Mason Outdoor Pool.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Must be able to swim 25 yards of front crawl
• Must have a positive attitude, humility, and a willingness to learn
• Participants must be able to pass YMCA approved swim test.
